Koyikkaleth is a famous aristocratic family of Central Travancore. This family has split into different groups over time, and there was a need to unite all these groups under one umbrella. First Kudumbayogam was formed in the early 80s and the founder office bearers were 
Koyikkaleth Narayana Pillai, KG Ramakrishna Pillai (Chitharan), Noorattu Prasanna Chandran Pillai, and K.K Padmanabha Pillai. They conducted two Kudumbamelas, one at Karuvatta Noorattu Madom and the other at Komaricheth, Muthukulam in early 90s. Both the kudumbamelas were well executed and left a mark in the mind of everyone who attended. This team also conducted many welfare events for the family including a tour program. Later this kudumbayogam become inactive due to various reasons.
With the urge of uniting the family members again, Sreekumar Pillai, P Rajagopal, P Venugopal, and Sudheesh created a WhatsApp group in the prelude to starting a Kudumbayogam. Around 125+ members joined this group. Subsequently, the family members met at Harippad on 23rd October and created a new Kudumbayogam. An ad-hoc committee and office bearers were elected under the supervision of S. Gopalkrishna Pillai. This Kudumbayogam is registered with the name “KOYIKKALETHU KUDUMBAYOGAM PALLIPAD, HARIPPAD” on 14th December 2022.
