A sports and games enthusiast from a very early age, her greatest achievements are in Hockey.
She started representing Kerala state in 1969,then a 9th std student… She continuously represented the state and University till 1978..

She has Captained the State nine times, represented it 25 times in National competitions.. Captain of Kerala team which won gold medal in 1974, 1975, 1976,and1978 in All India tournaments and South zone tournaments. Was member of the team which won the Junior National title for the first time.. Was awarded the Best player and Best Captain of the tournament in the Inter University held at Faizabad in 1976..
Attended the Indian Coaching Camp at NIS, Patiala in 1975 and was selected for the final camp..
